Biography
Andrija Kojakovic is an accomplished executive and diplomat with extensive experience in the energy industry, corporate leadership, and international finance. Over the course of his career, he has held top leadership positions in both the private and public sectors, where he combined strategic vision with pragmatic execution. As Chief Executive Officer of INA d.d., Croatia’s leading oil and gas company, he spearheaded major restructuring programs and secured INA’s first international loan without a state guarantee—an achievement that strengthened the company’s financial independence and international standing.
His career also spans diplomacy, having served as Croatia’s Ambassador to China, where he was also accredited to Thailand, the Philippines, and Mongolia, and later as Ambassador to the United Kingdom with concurrent accreditation to Ireland and Ghana. In these roles, he deepened Croatia’s global economic and political ties. Earlier, Kojakovic represented Croatia on the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), where he advised on strategies for economic transition and development across Central and Eastern Europe. He later founded and led the Central European Oil Company, backed by Barclays Bank and the EBRD, further consolidating his expertise in energy and investment.
Mr. Kojakovic holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Zagreb and brings to ICEE a wealth of international leadership experience, a proven record of building partnerships, and a commitment to advancing sustainable energy and economic development.
